MARE NOSTRUM is an interdisciplinary open access eJournal published under the umbrella of the Center for Mediterranean Studies and hosted by the Ruhr University Bochum Library. It is intended to provide publication opportunities for young researchers in particular. Each semester it will publish selected seminar papers or scientific essays from thematically relevant seminars, meetings, and workshops at the Ruhr University. Also beyond, the journal is open to any young researchers in the field of Mediterranean studies. The eJournal MARE NOSTRUM is thus intended to contribute to the improvement of teaching as well as to the digital external impact of the Mediterranean foci at Ruhr University Bochum.
